Hedgerow foraging is probably the most accessible type of foraging we have here in the UK, It doesn't matter where you are in the country, you're never too far from a hedgerow. We will also cover some other plant uses, such as natural medicines or practical uses such as materials for cordage making or fire lighting.

While coastal foraging does rely on the perfect tides, It opens up a whole new world of foraging opportunities. You can choose between a Traditional or Extreme low Tide experience.

Woodland Foraging can offer a huge bounty of wild edibles, depending on the season and type of woodland. Fungi, Fruit, Nuts, Berries & Plants are among some of the wild foods we can expect to find here. You can choose to add the estuarine environment too where we will find some tasty plants, and may even see an otter.

Seaweed is an often overlooked food source here in the uk, but that hasn't always been the case. Wales is well known for its "Laver bread" made using Laver seaweed and rolled oats. If harvested in the correct manner and in small amounts, seaweed can be a sustainable food source for the recreational forager. Seaweed is also packed full of vitamins and minerals, and there are many species here on our shores. Join us to find out which ones are best and how to use them.

It wasn't always that way and our friends over in Eastern Europe still have a strong connection to wild mushrooms.
