"We went on the rock pool safari with Dan, three generations, the youngest aged three and the eldest aged sixty-three. Everybody loved it. Dan's enthusiasm for his subject is infectious and we all learned so much. The weather was poor, wet with strong winds, but it took nothing away from the experience. An absolute must for making fantastic holiday memories. Highly recommended."

Foraging in Pembrokeshire
"Accompanied Dan and his lovely dog Moose on a foraging trip near Little Milford. This four hour expedition involved walking through Little Milford Wood and then across the saltmarsh alongside the Western Cleddau. Dan's expertise, immense knowledge and enthusiasm for nature made this a most memorable day. A walk through a wood or alongside a shoreline will never be the same. "My friends and I spent 2 days with Dan and his lovely dog Moose over the summer. We booked a day each of foraging and bushcraft, both of which were amazing. The days were tailored to what we wanted and we learnt so much while exploring beautiful places in Pembrokeshire. We all felt genuinely welcomed by Dan, and many weeks later we are still regularly reminiscing and getting excited being able to apply what we have learnt. Foraging and Bushcraft experience
"I did the one day foraging experience followed by bushcraft course a couple days later with friends.
The foraging experience was excellent! Dan was really knowledgeable and friendly taking the time to explain things clearly and I’m more than enough depth. My favourite plant was Rib wort because of all the applications it has and now all I’m doing when walking is looking to the side of the path at all the different plants!
The bushcraft day was beyond expectations and we had a great full day getting hands on building a shelter, fire starting and learning knife/axe skills as well as getting lots of information from Dan about water collection. We finished the day with making some garlic bread made from wild garlic and cooked over the fire we made!
Would definitely recommend and will be going doing it again next time in Pembrokeshire!"

"If we could give Dan a bazillion stars, we would! We went with Dan for rock pooling in 2022 and we were so impressed that we were sure to book ahead for the summer of 2023 at which point we did the bushcraft experience and foraging over two days. These are special days for our family whilst on vacation from Dubai.
We have small children who range in personalities from inquisitive, talkative, boisterous to quiet and pensive: so we can definitely say that Dan is excellent with all children. I can also say that adults definitely enjoy days with Dan too. You just can’t help but feel enthusiastic about your surroundings when you’re learning with Dan.
His knowledge is beyond extensive and he will share facts about the natural world that you will not have known before!

"We booked Dan to take our family including three young children out for a Rockpool Safari. We aren’t that experienced in outdoor activities as a family and so it was something we researched beforehand. Dan has great reviews and so we went for it with a booking. As with anything, you just never know until you get there. Dan was on time and responsive and helpful, and immediately engaged the children with a “competition”. They were hooked and intently listened to everything he had to say about our surroundings. Pendine Beach is gorgeous and Dan is so incredibly knowledgeable! He clearly has a passion for what he does, and he is patient, fun and has his eyes on the safety of all in the group. We are so thankful to have found Dan to help us get out and about, and we will definitely be booking again for our next West Wales vacation. Once you meet Dan, you will easily see that he could talk about nature, wildlife and creatures for days on end. If you love the outdoors, hire this lovely young man to have a fun day exploring!"

He tailored masterfully to our needs and immediately afterwards I was bombarded by requests from the scouts to make teas from wild leaves that he had shown and salves for insect bites that they'd recently had. "Dan took us on a fascinating journey around the streets of Tenby where there was a surprising array of edible plants, before taking us to a nearby beach to discover a vast array of seaweed, sponges, prawns, cockles and so much more! Dan is so knowledgeable, and delivers just the right amount of information without overdoing it. We were all delighted by our discoveries, having a really enjoyable day. Thoroughly recommend!"

"A really great day. We went on the 'extreme low tide' forage and were amazed at how much of the foliage in the verges and hedgerows is actually edible. Dan's knowledge of his surroundings is immense. We enjoyed a debreif on the beach at the end of the day while taking in the beautiful scenery."

"We had a really fantastic morning with Dan on Pendine beach doing the rockpool safari. Dan's knowledge was amazing and we all learnt so much. The kids were completely enthralled the entire time with all the little creatures, seaweed and rocks. There was also 10 adults who also really enjoyed it, so it is a good experience for all ages. Dan was also very accommodating with the start time which was really helpful. Would definitely recommend.!"

"Dan kindly did a tailor-made session at the end of September for us. We were amazed by his knowledge of local plants and shoreline fauna. He tailored the day well to our level of knowledge, without patronising, and also stressed the importance of avoiding stripping the area of specialist shore plants.

Dan took us foraging through coastlines, hedgerows, woodlands, rock pools and along the beach itself: we learnt so much about wildlife and plants alongside what to eat and what to not! A very wet, but fantastic Rock Pool Safari
"Well we booked a Rock Pool Safari and although it tipped it down we would do it all again...even in the rain!. We took our 6 year old and 2 year old. Dan had excellent knowledge and was one step a head meeting us with nets, buckets and a fish tank so we could re-visit the bigger items. It was very personal rock pooling which meant we gained very specific one to one attention. We felt safe out with Dan among the rocks and learn so much. Dan was extremely attentive even to the needs our 2 year old and ensuring she was included and considering the rain Dan did a fab job. Will be booking something again next time we visit, maybe bushcraft!"

Excellent Guide and Coastal Foraging Experience at the most scenic beach!
"We came across Dan and his company via a facebook foraging group. He had advertised his Foraging courses and we instantly wanted to take part in the Coastal Foraging course. We met in Pembrokeshire on the coast at a beautiful and wild beach with a huge expanse of sand and rocks - the perfect place to find wild food. Dan was incredibly informative and shared his knowledge with us in an interesting and engaging way. From the get go, we were foraging plants and leaves in hedgerows, and learning about the differences between edibles and non edibles. Once on the beach, we headed for the rocks with our nets to find prawns and crab followed by the beach at low tide to find shellfish such as cockles, clams and mussels. Excellent value for money. Highly recommend any adventure with Dan"
