THE ULTIMATE BUSHMASTER
 

Join professional outdoorsman Dan Moar, and his handsome canine companion Moose, for a fantastic day learning Bushcraft and Foraging skills, in our ancient Welsh woodland.

The day will begin with us meeting at our private woodland carpark. We will then take a short walk through the forest and surrounding meadows to our outdoor classroom, situated deep in the heart of our beautiful mixed species woodland. We will typically aim to cover 3-4 hours of bushcraft skills before lunch, followed by a 2 hour foraging walk in the woodland and surrounding countryside. The standard experience will see you covering many different topics throughout the day, alternatively you can choose to cover just a few of the topics, but in greater detail. This experience can be tailored to your specific interests and requirements, so just let me know your preference, during the booking process.

You can expect to cover the following topics as standard:

Shelter Building - Fire Lighting - Water Purification - Axe & Knife skills 

Wild Edibles & Deadibles - Identification Tips  

Sustainable Foraging - Habitat Identification - The Law & Foraging

Culinary & Medicinal Uses - History & Folklore

Skills we can also explore:

Trap Making - Fishing - Hunting - Campfire Cooking - Spoon Craving

WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU!

You will be provided with all necessary foraging equipment, but please read the required kit list below!

  • Robust closed toe footwear with good tread, suitable for the weather and landscape

Wellies / Walking boots are ideal - No crocs, flip flops or sandals please!

  • Weather appropriate clothing (remember we are in Wales)

  • Any medication you may require i.e Asthma pumps, Epi pens etc.

  • Something to drink (wild foods can have some strong flavours)

WHEN AND WHERE?

This experience usually starts at 10:00 and ends around 16:00. However, the session timings are flexible, and can be tailored to your requirements.

The woodland camp is located near, Haverfordwest SA62 3TS. Please let me know your desired dates & timings during the booking process.

Please note that a fair level of physical fitness will be required, as we can expect to cover a few miles during the days. For groups with mobility restrictions, please email for a tailor made course.

There is a compost toilet, hot drinks and campfire cooking available at this location.

Adults 16+ £80 | Children 12-16 £60

The course is better suited to adults and older children.

Younger children may attend if discussed during the booking process.
